I believe that the games included as part of the TV Favourites section of many Playtech-based online bingo rooms used to be individual games in their own right, but at some stage, the developer decided to merge them into a single room which offers several games on rotation instead. I didn’t realise this initially, as searching for games such as Emmerdale Bingo or The Chase Bingo will land you in the TV Favourites room nowadays… a few moments later, you could find yourself looking at an entirely different game!
A little research reveals that Coronation Street Bingo also used to be part of the TV Favourites room. However, I guess that one must have been especially popular as a separate 24-hour version of that game is still available at sites such as Gala, Foxy, Corals, and Ladbrokes Bingo. The TV shows represented within the TV Favourites package today include Emmerdale and The Chaser, but there are possibly a few more waiting to be discovered too!

The Chase BingoThe theme of TV Favourites obviously differs dramatically depending on which show is in play. For example, the Chase Bingo uses an almost entirely red colour scheme, much like the television show itself, whilst Emmerdale Bingo goes for a more subdued look with all the sheep and cobbled streets you could want! I have to wonder if it makes sense to combine a bunch of entirely different games in this manner – whilst the features of each game seem to be technically identical, I expect that the audience for a gameshow like The Chase differs wildly from those who enjoy sitting down to watch some Emmerdale at the end of each day.
Whichever game is currently in play, you’ll be presented with standard 90-Ball bingo tickets consisting of three rows of five numbers each. Prizes are awarded for being the first player to fill one, two, or three lines on one of your bingo cards, and there may be a bonus prize or two available as well – see the bonus rounds section below for details.
As for ticket prices, I’ve seen tickets for TV Favourites on offer for as little as 5p each during quiet times – at peak hours, some rounds are played with much higher ticket prices, such as £1.00. With that aside, it's time to buy your tickets – most rounds allow you to purchase up to 72 tickets, although this does seem to drop if the ticket price for the current game is higher than usual.
As always in 90-Ball, the first and smallest prize is awarded to the player who completes a single line of their ticket first. If more than one player happens to complete their line from the same number, each player will receive an equal share of the total prize instead.

Thankfully, you won’t need to answer any general knowledge questions despite what is displayed on screen! Instead, the outcome of each question is determined randomly, so all you can do is cross your fingers and hope to win a huge prize.

At the top of the screen, a car with a number on the top of it is displayed on the left-hand side. This number indicates how far the car has driven along the road at this time, and the road has five locations along it. The idea behind TV Favourites is a good one, but merging Emmerdale with other soaps instead of gameshows would have been a better idea. Also, if the sites offering this game had a schedule to show when each game was going to be available, that would be hugely beneficial for players.
