Early Cashout features have popped up in a bunch of different gambling formats during the past decade. I’m not sure where they appeared first – it could have been sports betting, as that seems like the perfect environment for taking your profits early before the opposing team or players can somehow clinch victory from the jaws of defeat! This bingo iteration of the Cashout gambling craze from provider Playtech is a 90-Ball game. However, it’s a tad different in that only one prize is offered per round, and the Cashout feature is only available once you are one number away from hitting the full house prize. At the time of writing, the full house prize pool seemed to hover around 100x the cost of a single ticket.
This game first appeared at Foxy Bingo before spreading to other sites running the same software, including Corals, Ladbrokes, and Cheeky Bingo. The advantage of this type of game is obvious – we’ve all had that gut-wrenching moment when we are just one ball away from collecting the big one, but another player pips us to the post at the last moment! With Cashout Bingo, you can avoid this, but the penalty for doing so can be pretty steep – you may well only receive half of what you would if you held your nerve a little while longer!

Cashout BingoDespite the changes to the game format in terms of there being only a single prize per round, Cashout Bingo otherwise plays very much like other 90-Ball bingo games. Not much effort has been made to distinguish the theme from any other games of this type – it looks a little bit plain for my tastes, although certainly not unpleasant.
You might have expected the developers to have made a few changes to the design of the tickets, too, bearing in mind that there isn’t a prize for hitting either one or two lines in this game. Nothing has been done in this regard either, unfortunately – it’s the usual setup of fifteen numbers on a grid of 27 positions, five numbers per row, unless you choose to play with simplified tickets enabled, in which case you will only see the amount of numbers outstanding on each of your tickets during each round.
Ticket prices vary at different times of day, and according to the number of players in the room, as with most bingo games, but in this case, there doesn’t seem to be any fixed limits to how high – or low – the ticket prices can become. I saw tickets sold for as little as 5p each while writing this review and could buy up to 40 of them on some occasions as well.

Cashout Bingo GameplayThere are few differences in terms of you playing Cashout Bingo in comparison with other 90-ball titles – simply enter the room, purchase your tickets, and then wait for the countdown clock to hit zero. The one key difference, of course, comes in the shape of that dramatic Cashout feature – more on that one later – but you’ll soon know that at least one or more players have reached their ‘one to go’ point if a dramatic pause occurs during gameplay! We do have a guide to 90-Ball bingo available elsewhere on our site, and whilst Cashout bingo does have a few subtle differences in comparison to standard 90-Ball games, it’s still worth having a quick read before you begin to play.
Note that there is no requirement for you to participate in the Cashout feature of this game – in fact, there are some good reasons not to do so! Wondering why? I guess I shouldn’t keep you in suspense – let’s move on to the bonus features section and explore this game's headline feature in detail.

Cashout Bingo WinsCashout Bingo doesn’t come with a progressive jackpot feature or anything like that – I guess the developers felt that the Cashout aspect of the game was more than enough to carry this one! So how does it work, should you use it, and what potential benefits – or otherwise – could occur if you do?

This is quite a fast-paced game for a 90-Ball bingo variant, which does a good job of highlighting the fact that one or more players are currently making their Cashout choice when the moment arrives! If you are one of the players with one number remaining on your ticket, you will be given 20 seconds to decide whether you wish to cash out your prospective winnings now or hold on to see what the other players choose to do.
The game will give you a range of potential prizes based on what could transpire should all players – or none of them – choose to accept the Cashout option. For example, let’s say you were the only player to go for the Cashout choice; this would leave the majority of the prize pool in the pot for the remaining players to fight over as the remaining balls are drawn.
On the other hand, if every player goes for the Cashout option, this isn’t necessarily a good option for you either – it depends on how many players currently have one number to go, which the game does thankfully inform you before you make your decision!
One more thing – an anecdote – I was playing a game of bingo just a couple of weeks ago and had one number remaining when I said to myself – out loud – oh yeah, “Here we go again!”. Had I been playing this particular variant, I probably would have accepted that Cashout choice and walked away with a much smaller prize than I eventually won when my final number came out on the very next call…. And I was the only winner!
This isn’t to say that there is no value in Cashout Bingo games – a true network version of this game with thousands of players would certainly make it much more interesting to play. But, as it stands, and with only around 100x your bet at stake – I reckon I would probably hold my nerve and cross my fingers that it’s me that collects the big one!

I like the idea of adding a Cashout feature into online bingo, but the execution of this particular version just isn’t quite there yet. The graphics, sound, and overall presentation seem a little bit lazy too, but catch the game on a good day when the room is lively, and there’s still a great chance of a good time.
